Math Competition

Yesterday, teams from The Red Oaks School, The Peck School, Far Hills Country Day School, Princeton Academy (lower and middle), Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County (elementary and middle), Rumson Country Day School, The Wilson School, and The Elisabeth Morrow School gathered in our Gymkhana for a math competition.  Over 175 students in grades 3 –6 took part.  Some tests were individual; others involved the team in collaborative solutions to problems.

I am pleased to announce that The Elisabeth Morrow School’s teams placed first at each grade level.  We also had a number of exceptionally high scoring individuals, including the competition’s highest individual total!

We will have more details posted shortly, but I thank our Math Chair, Carol Toth, for initiating this contest, our math teachers and students for doing us proud, and all the other faculty and staff who helped organize and run this major undertaking!
