The Annual Athletic Dinner was held last night following EMS matches versus Dwight-Englewood and Horace Mann. Athletic Director Andy Escala honored the eighth grade students for their participation in athletics over the past three years.
Five eighth graders (above) were recognized for participating in sports every season since sixth grade. Each received a certificate and one of the jerseys they had worn this year!
Highlights of the athletic year include nearly 90% participation from the sixth grade, winning records in a number of sports, an undefeated ice hockey team, and an individual champion in cross country.
We wish the eighth graders all the best in their future athletic endeavors and look forward to the sixth and seventh graders stepping into leadership roles next year.
