“The students come each day, 4 or 5 at a time, and enjoy cocoa, marshmallows, and cookies, while I read a story to them. On Friday, I invite the entire class to the library to see a video of the story and give them a souvenir booklet of the event, complete with their picture in it, along with a poster for the classroom. I'm told this tradition started when EMS was in the original building on Linden St. and the children came in from playing in the snow and the teachers decided to give the children hot chocolate and read to them. All the CH students will be invited to a cocoa party this school year.”
