Helping Others: Elisabeth Morrow School students raise funds for Sandy Relief 






Liel Sterling (8th grade) and Ema Bandazian (7th grade) at The Elisabeth Morrow School (EMS) in Englewood, were recently treated to a private reception at the Governor’s Residence in Princeton recognizing their work to raise money benefiting those affected by the October 2012 hurricane. The students spearheaded an initiative that raised $3278.12 for New Jersey’s First Lady Mary Pat Christie’s Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.


On Monday, October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy brought unthinkable devastation to parts of the state, destroying homes, businesses and some of New Jersey's most popular tourist destinations. The Fund was launched to aid the Garden State rebuild. To date, over $34 million from more than 27,500 donors world-wide has been raised. Click here to read the full article.
