Our Helpful Critters

Ladybugs are considered "helpful bugs" because they feed on aphids and small pests that eat growing garden plants. The kindergarteners are now experts on the topic of ladybugs and many activities throughout the school day were connected to the information shard in class. Symmetry, shape, plant health and facts about insects were integrated culminating in an art project. Each child noted one way he/she can be a helper in his/her classroom community! Helping others builds a child's confidence and connection to other class members in school.
