Empowering our students with real world experiences like challenging difficult problems facing their generation is an integral piece of our curriculum. During the trip to the Hackensack River, students, parents and teachers all participated in a nature walk and boat ride through this fascinating urban ecosystem right in our own backyard. Inspired to protect our water supply and the wildlife and fish living in and near the river, the students and teachers organized a bake sale held on campus. The proceeds will be directly donated to the Hackensack Riverkeeper Inc. www.hackensackriverkeeper.org
