| Gail Weeks award spot at Maitland Simmons Institute |
Congratulations to EMS Middle School Science teacher Gail Weeks who was recently awarded a position at the competitive Maitland Simmons Institute, run by the New Jersey Science Teachers Association. Along with a select few honorees, Mrs. Weeks will receive a free week-long professional workshop, including classroom materials. This year's Institute will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics integrated curriculum) and Renewable Energy at the College of New Jesey. This marks the second time that Mrs. Weeks has won this award, she was also honored in 2006 when the focus was Physical Sciences.
