EMS Science Teacher Presented Workshops at NJ Science Convention

Elisabeth Morrow Science teacher, Gail Weeks, recently presented two workshops at the NJ Science Convention. For the past five years, she has volunteered our EMS seventh-grade students to present demonstrations to the public during National Chemistry Week (October 23) at the Liberty Science Center. In an effort to increase the involvement of other middle schools' science programs, Ms. Weeks spoke about her experiences and the value of students presenting during National Chemistry Week. She also involved the teachers in several hands-on activities, such as examining the contents of glow sticks, and talking about the science that makes them work.
